Rosemarie first opened our practice in 1990, before her brother Armando bought it in 1999. Armando joined on a temporary basis in 1992 before the purchase, following which his wife Sam became the practice manager! As you can probably tell, we pride ourselves on being locally owned and embodying a family friendly environment. We have always deeply valued our patients, some of which we have been seeing since our practice opened in 1990 (that’s 27 years of regular dental maintenance!).
Sam and Armando loved the vibe of the practice because patients really enjoyed visiting, they loved the fact that they were able to build relationships with patients and families, getting to know them, and celebrating in life’s joys together! Treating patients as family involved Sam and Armando personally ensuring follow up calls are made, personalised reminders are sent out, and always ensuring thank yous for referrals. They thoroughly enjoyed getting themselves and their clients involved in the community by offering raffles and giveaways, and regularly supporting local business through competitions and publicising events. When clients step into the practice, Sam and Armando make sure that they know exactly what thetreatment they are receiving entails. This includes the procedure and costs involved.
The practice has always put a tremendous amount of effort into ensuring the staff is fully trained in effective communication skills to guarantee everyone is on the same page. This includes our highly successful policy and procedure so that all staffunderstands their roles and new staff are able to slot into their role with ease. We have been extremely proud of our practice throughout all of its stages.
In 2000 our practice won the Belmont Enterprise Centre’s Enterprise of the Year and Customer Service Award and the practice has been nominated every year since. In 2001-2002 the plan to buy the premises next door was underway and the full refit was organised. This expansion was an exciting and challenging time for us as we moved whilst Practice Manager Sam was heavily pregnant with Holly in 2002!
Lena was employed in 2002 and is still working with us today; Michelle was also employed in 2002 and remained with the practice until 2015. Our long-term relationships haven’t just been with our clients, our employees are treated just as family would be as well, and it’s the reason we’re lucky enough to hold on to them for so long!
From 2002 the practice has expanded to accommodate our growing client base and their families, and data we have continued to collect shows a steady 80% referral rate which we are so happy to be able to maintain. The practice has moved with the times, starting to use Facebook and Google Business in 2015, however we are still involved with the community and branched out to sponsor events such as the IFBBO’mara Classic body building show (which is run by one of our clients).
In 2016 Sam completed her Health Science degree that she started in 2010, it was this that prompted Armando and Sam to begin considering selling the practice. The practice was later sold to Rooshab and Rakhee on the 28 th of October 2016. Make no mistake, our family values and commitment to the community and our clients still holds. Armando can often be seen around the practice and still treats clients. On the other hand the new owners are excited about the opportunity that running such a loved and committed practice holds and can’t wait for the journey ahead. So there you have it! We hope to see all of our regulars and new clients in the practice soon so we can give you the smile you have always wanted!
