tooth extractions

Tooth removal, including surgical extraction, may be provided for the treatment of a severely infected, damaged or decayed tooth.
Tooth removal may also be required in preparation for orthodontic treatment.

In some cases, undesirable or impacted wisdom teeth may require removal to improve oral health or address pain.

With all tooth extractions performed at Ageless Smiles Dental Centre, we focus on ensuring you receive the support you require for your specific dental needs and will discuss alternatives to extractions in addition to tooth replacement options.

Our highly skilled dentists will take care of you every step of the way and make sure your experience is as comfortable and pain-free as possible.

Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Wisdom teeth typically begin to develop in the late teenage years. Often, there isn’t enough space to accommodate these teeth which can lead to pain, crowding and other problems.
There can be a lot of confusion and uncertainty about the removal of wisdom teeth as each person is unique.

If your wisdom teeth are causing you problems, our knowledgeable dentists are able to assist you with an assessment and the information required to provide a personalized treatment plan for the removal of one or more wisdom teeth.

At Ageless Smiles Dental Centre our dentists are able to provide simple extractions in addition to more complex surgical extractions.

Delivering excellence
in surgical care

Throughout your visit, we are centered around providing you with a caring, gentle and comfortable experience. A local anaesthetic is provided to ensure you are pain-free, even in very complex cases. It is not usual to feel pressure during a tooth extraction process. Fragile teeth may need to be sectioned for removal and if needed, a small suture or two placed to assist with healing.

Minor swelling and bruising are normal after wisdom teeth removal and following most extractions. Antibiotics and pain relief may be required for a number of days. After-care instructions will be provided and should be carefully followed to avoid any complications.

After a few days, you will be able to return to your usual activities and be smiling once again.
